HOW WE CAN HELP
Disconnect to Connect Series
While technology is seemingly present in every aspect of modern society, the Disconnect2Connect team strives to help others recognize the importance of avoiding an overdependence on technology. With the right habits, technology offers many benefits but can quickly become dangerous without moderation. Technology addiction can lead to a lack of social skills, a shortened attention span, poor sleep habits, stress, and many other harmful effects.

In what we consider one of our fundamental programs, a Disconnect to Connect session generally includes a presentation and group activity that discusses how to recognize and stop technology addiction, as well as healthy technology-free alternatives. Per request, we also offer sessions that hone in on specific topics, such as social media addiction. These free sessions typically last 30 to 45 minutes.

The Disconnect to Connect series is offered to any entity that is interested in finding a sense of balance when it comes to technology usage. To inquire about a potential session for your entity, please contact us.
Core Tech Workshops
In efforts to promote a technologically balanced education, the Disconnect2Connect team offers Core Tech Workshops on a wide variety of technological resources, ranging from fundamental coding languages to the Google and Microsoft Suites. Workshops can last anywhere between one to two hours, depending on the topic. These free workshops are open to all organizations/schools/entities from all ages.
Our team endorses these workshops in order to connect others to the benefits that technology has to offer when used properly. We believe that it's important to use technology to bring power back to the people. To inquire about a potential workshop for your organization/school/entity, please contact us.
Project Connect to Community
Community service lies at the core of a technologically balanced lifestyle. Project Connect to Community (Project CTC, for short) is a volunteering program that encourages individuals to exchange time spent on their devices with community service, whether it be by tutoring students or serving hot meals at local soup kitchens.

Open to all ages, Project CTC volunteers not only support Disconnect2Connect events but are also connected to additional service opportunities through our partnerships with various community organizations that have a need for volunteers! Disconnecting in the Workplace Series
The impact is clear: 25 to 50 percent of Internet addiction is occurring in the workplace, which negatively impacts the productivity of employees by creating constant distractions. Moreover, addiction to technology in the workplace leads to employee dissatisfaction, disconnectedness between employees, and an imbalance in home-work life .

As a part of the Disconnecting in the Workplace Series, Disconnect2Connect offers free, one-hour sessions on why it is important to regulate technology usage in the workplace. The session is led by Dr. Turnock, a licensed psychologist at the University of North Texas. This session will bring a heightened sense of well-being for all employees and immensely boost the morale and dynamic of a company. To schedule a free session for your company, please contact us.
Healthy Living Sessions
With a growing body of research linking digital technology to a lack of physical activity, we promote an active lifestyle in the form of our Healthy Living Sessions.

Healthy Living Sessions, which typically last 30 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes (depending on the activity), disconnect individuals from their devices and allows individuals to reap the physical and mental health benefits of a technologically balanced lifestyle. Sessions we offer include, but are not limited to, team sports (i.e. basketball, soccer), follow-along stretching and yoga routines, HITT workouts, and introductory weight-lifting tutorials.

Health Living Sessions are offered to any entity that is interested in achieving technological balance through fitness. To schedule a session, please contact us.
